Student answer (Band 5.0)

In today's world, education plays an important role in each and every indvidual life as they want to be successful in thier life. Few pupils think that the authorities ought to pay the expenses of scholars' studies in the universities. I am agree with this statement to more extent. I will discuss in the upcoming paragraphs.

To start with, I disagree with the government should not pay any kind fees of the students because they would not know the value of studying as they want to learn. The reason for this is a free education, they would think they have no tuition payments if they fail in any course, they might retake it again and spend more time on their studies than the usual time period, which would might be harmful for their carrier.

On the other side, governors should pay for all the studies of every students. The first and foremost reason is that many scholars want to learn and go to colleges and schools, due to some financial circumstances, they are unable to enroll in the institutions. For example, in India, the government opens free of cost schools in villages from classes 1 to 8, which is very beneficial for the parents and their children's too.

Secondly, the employment sectors will hire more educated workers for work if universities will become free for everyone because everyone goes there, and start learing as they want do. students have no warriors about the fees as well as they do study free of mind without any stress.

To conclude, I think giving free education to students would be beneficial for the countries development as they become successful in their life they will earn bread and butter two times day with this help

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

Your position is broadly clear: you support government-funded university education, and you give relevant reasons about access for students with financial difficulties and the benefits of a more educated workforce. The example of free schools in Indian villages helps illustrate the access point, although it concerns school education rather than universities. The response only partially develops the task: the first body paragraph begins, “I disagree with the government should not pay,” which conflicts with your stated agreement and makes your reasoning difficult to follow. The point that free tuition could encourage students to retake courses is also asserted without explaining why this outweighs the benefits. Clarify your position and develop each reason with a direct explanation or example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, two body paragraphs and a conclusion. Signposts such as “To start with,” “On the other side,” and “Secondly” help readers identify stages of the discussion. However, progression is not consistently clear: the first body paragraph says you disagree with government payment, while the next argues that governments should pay for all studies. This contradiction disrupts the overall line of argument. Some links are also mechanical or inaccurate, and the final paragraph introduces a broad conclusion without clearly drawing together the earlier reasons. Organise the body around a consistent position, use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, and connect explanations to examples more explicitly.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “financial circumstances,” “enroll,” “institutions,” and “employment sectors,” so the main subject is generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate, sometimes making meaning unclear. For example, “warriors about the fees” appears to mean “worries about the fees,” while “earn bread and butter two times day” is not a natural way to express financial security. There are also spelling errors such as “indvidual,” “thier,” and “learing.” Aim for precise, natural phrases and check spelling carefully. Replacing informal or unclear expressions with standard academic wording would make your ideas easier to follow.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional idea about students retaking courses and a reason introduced with “because.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and frequent errors affect clarity. Examples include “I am agree,” “every students,” and “if universities will become free,” which show problems with verb forms, agreement and conditional structure. The sentence beginning “I disagree with the government should not pay” also lacks a clear grammatical connection between its clauses. Some sentences run together or have incomplete constructions, as in “as they want do.” Practise building accurate sentences with one main clause and a clearly linked explanation, then check agreement, verb forms and punctuation.
