Student answer (Band 6.5)

It is widely argued that, Pupils perform better academic learning with the students of similar learning capabilities rather than the children from different learning abilities. I will discuss both views and my perspective in the upcoming paragraphs.

To begin with, learners who share comparable academic abilities will perform favorable in group studies due to there way of thinking. Moreover, students from recognizing learning abilities will create sense of competitions in their education. Which will leads to excessive hard work and challenging brainstorming ideas to win from each other and build their overall personality to working hard and build their future more secured

On the other hand, classroom filled with students of different learning capacity is beneficial to create more reforming ideas . Children will share different ideas according to their capabilities and their experiences will widen the sense of thinking for the particular situation and help to invent numerous solutions. For instance- According to survey conducted by the Education committee in India in year 2019 regarding the performance of the students in their studies sharing different learning capabilities demonstrates that, it build skill of critical thinking, problem solving, and helping each other due to their various capabilities of creativity.

In my opinion, young learners with distinct academic abilities shows better results compared to the other children because they shows less competition and tries to learn more from other students which results to build their overall personality and adding skills such as supporting, team work, problem solving with reforming ideas which are crucial for their future and life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response addresses all parts of the prompt, discussing both views and providing a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention that similar-ability classes create competition, the explanation is brief and slightly repetitive. The second body paragraph introduces a relevant example regarding an Indian education committee, which helps support your argument. To improve, ensure that your arguments are fully extended with more detailed reasoning or illustrative examples. The position is consistent throughout, but the depth of analysis could be enhanced to reach a higher band by exploring the long-term implications of each educational approach more thoroughly.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand' to signal transitions between ideas. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing, such as the sentence fragment starting with 'Which will leads to...'. Additionally, the use of referencing is occasionally unclear, which makes the progression of ideas feel slightly mechanical. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that each sentence connects smoothly to the next without relying on repetitive structures.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'academic capabilities', 'critical thinking', and 'reforming ideas'. However, there are several instances of imprecise word choice and collocation errors, such as 'perform favorable' (should be 'perform favorably') and 'recognizing learning abilities' (which is unclear). Some phrasing is also slightly unnatural, such as 'create sense of competitions'. While the vocabulary is sufficient to convey your meaning, you need to work on more accurate collocations and precise word forms to achieve a higher score. Expanding your range to include more academic-style synonyms would also be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Examples include subject-verb agreement issues ('young learners... shows', 'they shows'), incorrect verb forms ('will leads to'), and punctuation errors, such as the unnecessary hyphen in 'For instance-'. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and ensuring that complex sentence structures are punctuated correctly and follow standard grammatical rules.
