Student answer (Band 6.5)
Education plays very crucial role in development of every nation. Many people are believing that children who are studying with those youngsters, who's performance is same to them, is more beneficial for them to learn more. Whereas others are favoring that studying with students, who's academic ability is high is good for other learners. Both beliefs are discussed in upcoming paragraphs.
To commence with, children of similar academic abilities helps other students to provide a comfortable environment to others. To elaborate it, means if students facing any problem while studying then they will ask anybody to help them, they do not hesitate to to take help from others. it means by learning in these groups, they also learn about ho coordinate with others and building skills of better team work. For example, If peers are building a project related to science, some of them are week in science but they have to do these project so they will seek and get knowledge from others, whose skills are good in it. Hence they will learn each and everything because all of them have same ability and they will feel comfort while learning in these classes.
On the other hand, it is very grateful to learn with students who are good in studies, because the have wide range of knowledge that helps others to learn more. In other words, students with wide range of academic ability always tries to express their experience and information about anything to others. It will help other pupils to know more about studies. moreover, these kind of students have wide range of methods about how to help others to study about a specific topic. For instance, if a student facing difficulty to understand a topic then he will take help from these students, because they always have a different method of learning. Thus, by joining classes with these students helps other students to get better academic results.
In my opinion, if children who are in class of students with good academic ability is far more beneficial because they always seek to help you and you will learn more because if your atmosphere is of this kind will boost your confidence to learn more.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. The argument for similar-ability grouping is slightly confused, as the example provided actually describes a scenario where students with different skills help each other, which contradicts the premise of 'similar ability'. The second body paragraph is more focused, but the overall development lacks depth and nuance. To reach a higher band, ensure that examples directly support the specific point being made and avoid internal contradictions in your logic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into clear paragraphs, and there is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'To commence with', 'On the other hand', and 'In other words'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly unnatural. For instance, the transition 'To elaborate it, means if...' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the flow. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the use of 'it' in 'it means by learning in these groups', where the antecedent is ambiguous. Improving the variety and precision of linking words will help the progression of ideas feel more natural.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. There are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward collocations, such as 'very grateful to learn' (likely meaning 'beneficial' or 'advantageous') and 'whose performance is same to them'. The repetition of basic phrases like 'take help from' and 'wide range of' limits the lexical variety. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations and synonyms to avoid repetitive phrasing and to express ideas with greater accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('children... helps'), incorrect relative pronouns ('who's' instead of 'whose'), and missing articles. For example, 'If peers are building a project... some of them are week' contains a spelling error ('week' instead of 'weak') and a tense inconsistency. While the meaning is generally clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the writing from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article usage.
