Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 171 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address both sides of the argument and state an opinion, the points are underdeveloped and lack specific examples or depth. The discussion is superficial, and the conclusion is entirely missing. To improve, you must expand your arguments with detailed explanations and concrete examples to meet the length requirement and provide a more comprehensive analysis of the topic.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the flow of ideas is hindered by the lack of depth and limited use of cohesive devices. While you use basic transition signals like 'On one side' and 'On the other hand', the internal logic within paragraphs is weak. Sentences often feel disconnected, and the lack of a concluding paragraph makes the overall structure feel incomplete. To improve, focus on using a wider range of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') and ensure that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence followed by supporting details.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
Your vocabulary is generally repetitive and basic. You rely on simple phrasing such as 'learn better' and 'same academic abilities' throughout the text. There are also issues with word choice and collocation, such as 'presenting different range' instead of 'representing a diverse range' and 'elaborate this essay' which is not the correct usage. To reach a higher band, you need to incorporate more precise academic vocabulary and collocations related to education and pedagogy, while avoiding the repetition of the same words in close proximity.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede clarity. Common issues include missing articles ('in classes', 'with same age'), incorrect verb forms ('it can increased'), and awkward sentence structures ('they are some reasons why I think that pupil learn'). There is a lack of complex sentence structures, and the existing sentences are often simple or contain errors in subject-verb agreement. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and the correct use of articles before attempting more complex grammatical structures.
