Student answer (Band 6.0)

In this modern era, some individuals think that children get better knowledge when they study with those children who has the same academic abilities but some says that it is better to learn with ldiverse range of academic abilities. However, i will discuss both the aspects in following paragraphs with my opinion.

It is believed by some people that childern learn better when they are in the same class with same academic abilities students. To explain it, the age of the children is to learn the thing in their life as the spend there time with age children they get the thing revised if they have forget any thing. For example, in the class if some thing is taught and some student unable to learn than they can get help from other student get the things done. As a result, ever one can become equal to each other.

Furthermore, other people argue that peers get more knowledge when they are in same class with diverse range academic abilities. To elaborate it, in the class when there are different range academic abilities students they get more to learn. For example, in the class some students are fast learner some are slow as well as some have different present of mind in this diverse environment each one get motivation to learn different things from each one of the student in the class. Therefore, student can get varity of knowledge in the class.

In conclusion, both the aspects have their own value but according to me learning in a diverse range of the academic abilities is much better than learning in the same academic environment as student can get different abilities under one roof.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. The arguments for both sides are repetitive and lack depth; for instance, the explanation for grouping students by ability relies on vague concepts like 'get the things done' rather than specific educational benefits. While the task is addressed, the supporting points are underdeveloped, and the reasoning is occasionally circular. To reach a higher band, you should provide more concrete examples and explain the 'why' behind your arguments more thoroughly to demonstrate a deeper understanding of the topic.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. You use basic cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'In conclusion', and 'For example' to link ideas. However, the flow within paragraphs is sometimes hindered by awkward phrasing and repetitive sentence structures. Referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the second paragraph where the connection between 'age of the children' and the argument is confusing. To improve, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one to create a smoother, more sophisticated progression of ideas.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks range and precision. You rely on simple, repetitive phrasing like 'get the things done', 'get more knowledge', and 'get motivation'. There are also minor errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'ldiverse' and 'varity'. While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of more sophisticated or academic vocabulary limits the score. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic collocations and avoid overusing the verb 'get' by replacing it with more specific alternatives like 'acquire', 'attain', or 'enhance'.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement ('some individuals think... but some says'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('some student unable to learn'). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with capitalization of 'i'. While you attempt complex sentences, they are often marred by errors. To improve, focus on mastering basic subject-verb agreement and article usage, and ensure that your complex sentences are constructed accurately before attempting more advanced structures.
