Student answer (Band 6.0)
Pupils are the upcoming future of a country. By some individuals it is believed that putting juveniles with the children have similar academic abilities a better option, whereas other group of people argue that it help the children's learning progress if they sit with the children having different academic abilities. In the upcoming paragraphs I will discuss both the views and my opinion as well.
Commencing with the first group of people who think it is better for children to sit with the pupils in the class having same academic abilities. The first and foremost reason is that it will help to children to stay focused in the class because they know what is going on in the class. To elaborate it, they will not feel demotivated in the class because all the juveniles are of the same level or having the same ability. Apart from that, if a class is full of scholars of different academic abilities children get confused and it become a dauting task for them to stay focused in the class. As a result, they feel stressed and it also effect their mental health. Later on, this might be become the one of the reason children loss interest in the studies.
On the other hand, some people opine that it opens the door for children if they study with children with various academic ability. The first and foremost reason is that children can not only learn from their teacher but also from their classmates because every child have different mindset. Some are good in math's, science and so on. In a survey it is found that 50% of children feel shy their doubts to their teacher in this case they can they help from their classmate and can improve where they are lacking.
In conclusion, both the point of views are having their own merits and demerits but in my opinion second point of view has more advantages as it can open the learning door for children if they study with the children with different academic skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument regarding 'similar abilities' relies on the claim that students get 'confused' in mixed-ability classes, which is a generalization that could be better supported with specific examples or deeper reasoning. The second body paragraph mentions peer learning but lacks a concrete example to illustrate how this functions in a real-world classroom setting. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand on your points with more detailed explanations and specific, relevant examples.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear progression of ideas from the introduction to the conclusion. You use some cohesive devices, such as 'Commencing with', 'Apart from that', and 'On the other hand', to link your thoughts. However, some transitions feel slightly mechanical, and there are instances where referencing is unclear, such as 'this might be become the one of the reason'. Additionally, the flow between sentences could be smoother; some sentences feel disjointed. Improving the variety and precision of your linking words will help your writing feel more natural and cohesive.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to express your ideas clearly. You use some topic-specific vocabulary like 'academic abilities', 'demotivated', and 'merits and demerits'. However, there are several instances of awkward word choice and minor errors, such as 'upcoming future' (redundant), 'dauting task' (spelling error), and 'loss interest' (should be 'lose'). To improve, focus on using more precise collocations and ensure you are using the correct word forms. Expanding your range of vocabulary to include more sophisticated synonyms would also help elevate your score.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text. Examples include 'putting juveniles with the children have similar academic abilities' (missing 'who'), 'it help the children's learning' (subject-verb agreement), and 'every child have different mindset' (subject-verb agreement). There are also issues with article usage and prepositional phrases. While these errors do not significantly impede communication, they occur frequently enough to prevent a higher score. Focus on proofreading for basic subject-verb agreement and article consistency.
