Student answer (Band 5.5)
Children can be taught in both ways by placing them into the similar abilities students and distinct in schools. According to me, the importance of both can not be negected due to various causes.
One the one hand, there are various reasons why children should be taught in the same calss. Firstly, if schools teach all learners with those children's who has similar academic abilities, this way can help to motivate them and build a sense of confidence. They may work on their particular weak area, and become good leraner. Secondly, this may can be beneficial for tutors as well as students because teacher can chose more effective method to teach them. For example, if students can not speak, teacher may use sign language to teach theam. As a result, this can make their learning more convenient.
On the other hand, teaching children with different kinds of academic abilities students can be beneficial due to various reasons. This way of teaching may create competition in the class because weak students may try to copy others style of learning. Weak students will focus on the weak areas by watching others. Furthermore, this would be helpful for the teachers. As teacher can make a group at least 6 students who has different skills. They can share their ideas with each other and boost their knowledge.
In conclusion, although, both trend has their own importance in educational field, providing teaching with different children's can be more effective.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both views regarding ability grouping and mixed-ability classes, and the writer provides a clear opinion in the conclusion. However, the task requires a minimum of 250 words, and the student's text contains only 244 words. This under-length shortfall directly impacts Task Achievement, restricting the depth and fully-developed extension of ideas. While the arguments concerning motivation and teacher strategies in same-ability classes, as well as peer learning in mixed classes, are relevant, they remain somewhat superficial due to the constraints of the overall length. Consequently, the score reflects a partial development of the prompt requirements.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay displays a recognizable overall structure with clear paragraphing, dividing the introduction, two body paragraphs discussing opposing views, and a conclusion. Cohesive devices such as 'One the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are utilized to signpost the progression of ideas, though some referencing and transitional links are mechanical or awkward, such as 'According to me, the importance of both can not be negected due to various causes.' Paragraphing is used sufficiently, and while some internal cohesion within paragraphs feels repetitive or disjointed, the text maintains a coherent overall arrangement that guides the reader through the discussion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task, allowing the student to express basic arguments about education. There are attempts to use less common items and topic-related vocabulary, such as 'academic abilities', 'motivate', and 'educational field'. However, there are notable word-choice and spelling errors throughout the text, including 'negected' instead of neglected, 'calss' instead of class, 'leraner' instead of learner, and 'theam' instead of them. These errors do not completely impede communication, but they highlight limitations in lexical control and accuracy, placing the response firmly in the band 5 range.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, incorporating conditional structures and relative clauses like 'if schools teach all learners with those children's who has similar academic abilities'. However, grammatical control is weak, with frequent errors in subject-verb agreement ('children's who has', 'students who has', 'both trend has'), article usage, and redundant phrasing ('this may can be beneficial'). While the meaning is generally decipherable, these frequent errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader and prevent the grammar from reaching a higher band level.
