Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0
The response attempts to discuss both views regarding ability grouping in classes and states a personal perspective in the introduction. However, the candidate fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, stopping abruptly at 205 words with an incomplete concluding paragraph ('All in all, it is clear by above writen that both views are'). Consequently, the development of ideas is heavily curtailed, and the conclusion is missing entirely. This severely limits the extent to which all parts of the task can be addressed. Key arguments regarding similar and diverse ability classes are introduced briefly ('teacher can make perfect exam', 'week student who donot understand'), but they remain largely under-developed due to the premature ending. Based on the official descriptors, this performance aligns with Band 4.0 because the response is incomplete and truncated.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0
The text attempts a traditional essay structure with an introduction and body paragraphs indicated by transition markers such as 'On the one hand' and 'On the other hand'. However, the overall progression is severely disrupted by the abrupt ending, leaving the final paragraph incomplete. Paragraphing is attempted, but sentence-to-sentence cohesion is frequently faulty or mechanical ('for example, All learners who have same intrest they done there are accoding to them'). Referencing is sometimes unclear, and cohesive devices are used clumsily. While an underlying organizational structure is discernible, the failure to complete the text and the erratic flow of ideas prevent the writing from achieving a higher band. This corresponds to a Band 4.0 for coherence and cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 4.0
The student uses a very basic and repetitive vocabulary range that severely restricts precision and flexibility. There are numerous word choice and spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'Nowaday' instead of nowadays, 'pay bittle role' instead of play a vital role, 'filed' instead of field, 'intrest' instead of interest, 'ablity' instead of ability, 'profect' instead of perfect, and 'week' instead of weak. These lexical inadequacies and frequent spelling mistakes cause strain for the reader and impede comprehension in several places. Because the vocabulary is basic, repetitive, and plagued by systematic errors, it sits firmly at Band 4.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0
The writing demonstrates a very limited range of grammatical structures, relying heavily on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex structures that result in severe errors. Examples of ungrammatical constructions include 'education pay bittle role for sucess', 'kid should study with that students who have same intrest', and 'learner should get class with that student who are good in study'. Punctuation and capitalization are also poorly controlled, with numerous lowercase letters starting sentences and missing periods. Errors are frequent and often distort the meaning of the sentences, causing considerable difficulty for the reader. This performance reflects the descriptors for Band 4.0.
