Student answer (Band 5.0)
In todays world success depends on qualification. Everyone has their own learning pattern some children learn faster with children of same Intelligence level whereas others learn better in a class where all intelligence level of kids present. In my opinion option B that is children with diverse range of IQ level is much beneficial their growth.
To begin with, class full of different intelligence level promotes competition. Every single day they will learn something new. This option motivates them to study hard and present themself differently from other. As a result their hunger for getting success will increase every day. Moreover, different mindset promotes brainstorming. As a result, different students will present different ideas which will make them think even more harder. I remember when I was kid, I learned alot during group discussions as we all were of different mindset and we always present unique ideas.
On the other hand, children of same mindset will provide confirdence to present themself wothout any fear. As no one would judge them but limit the growth and thinking abilities. This will negatively impact their career growth as they would not able to find the suitable job. For instance, they might struggle in getting employment when they would not present themself.
In the end, for overall growth and fullfill their dreams

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response addresses both parts of the task by discussing the merits of both ability-grouped classes and diverse classes, and the writer clearly states a personal position in the introduction favouring diverse classrooms. However, the task achievement is significantly hindered by the length requirement not being met, as the essay stops abruptly at 217 words, well below the 250-word minimum. This results in under-developed ideas, particularly in the conclusion which is incomplete. While the main body paragraphs attempt to provide reasons and examples, such as the personal anecdote about group discussions, the lack of full development and the severe truncation pull the task response score down to Band 5.0.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The essay demonstrates some basic organization with a clear introductory stance and separate paragraphs for different views. However, overall progression is limited by the abrupt ending of the text. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'On the other hand', but they are sometimes repetitive or basic. Paragraphing is attempted, but the final paragraph is incomplete, consisting of only an unfinished sentence ('In the end, for overall growth and fullfill their dreams'). Referencing is occasionally unclear, and logical links between sentences sometimes feel mechanical. Based on these organisational flaws and the incomplete structure, a Band 5.0 is appropriate.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
The student uses a limited but minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task, with terms like 'success', 'qualification', 'intelligence level', and 'competition'. There are noticeable lexical errors and awkward collocations throughout the text, such as 'all intelligence level of kids present' instead of 'children of all intelligence levels are present', 'confirdence' (spelling error), 'wothout', and 'fullfill'. Less common vocabulary is attempted with limited success. While communication is generally maintained despite these errors, the repetition of basic words and frequent inaccuracies place this criterion firmly at Band 5.0.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar is weak. There are frequent grammatical errors that cause difficulty for the reader, such as missing articles ('success depends on qualification', 'when I was kid'), incorrect prepositions or verb forms ('children with diverse range', 'they would not able to find', 'as we all were of different mindset'), and fragment sentences. Punctuation is also problematic, particularly in the unfinished concluding sentence. Because complex structures are frequently faulty and errors are persistent throughout the short text, a Band 5.0 accurately reflects the grammatical control shown.
