Student answer (Band 5.0)
Many People say that children learn more when they are in class of different section or other students who have different rage of abilities, but I believe when a student in the class where all are mostly similar in age and a range of same academic abilities perform well in studies.
Fistly, pupil's grasps wide range of knowledge when they are studing in a class of buch of different class of student and also they have chance to enhance their knowledge while discussing each other and can talk on their personal view points. Secondly, learners can assume someone their ideol from class not in only studies also in other recreational activities also like football and cricket, because in bunch students they can find numerious of talented people under a single roof, which helps them to know more about studies as well as sports.
In a class of similar academic abilities of students has its own importance, first and foremost, comptition is a huge factor in every one's life, learners can feel the sense of competition, which helps them to boost there confidence in academic studies and they may perform better is exams. Adding more, in a class of similar students they feel more comfortable as they all are may be same in age with same abilities, everybody has their own skill and learning power according to their understanding, for example when I was in school Maths was my favorite subject, in every exam I scored more than 80 in Maths but was not good in Science. So everyone has different pace and interest of learning and the feeling of equality let them performe better and they can learn according to their own pace.
In conclusion, may be in class of diverse range of academic abilities student you can learn more but I believe only in a similar ability of students class some one can feel more comfortable and score better in academic exams.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both positions and make your preference clear: you argue that grouping students with similar abilities can help them feel comfortable and perform well, while also noting that mixed-ability classes allow discussion and exposure to talented peers. The personal example about doing well in Maths but less well in Science supports your point about differing strengths. However, the discussion remains partly under-developed: the benefits of mixed-ability classes are listed rather than explained in depth, and the claim that similar-ability grouping improves exam performance needs clearer reasoning or evidence. Your position is present, but the opening and conclusion could state it more directly and consistently.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “In conclusion” help signal the stages of the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes difficult to follow because several points are joined together without clear explanation, and some references are vague, such as “they” and “this.” The opening sentence is especially hard to interpret, which makes the initial contrast unclear. The conclusion repeats the preference but does not neatly summarise the comparison. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each example explicitly to the point it supports.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant vocabulary for the topic, including “academic abilities,” “sense of competition,” “confidence,” and “learning pace.” These expressions help communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several word-choice, spelling, and collocation errors make parts of the response difficult to understand, for example “different rage of abilities,” “bunch of different class of student,” and “assume someone their ideol.” Some repeated general words, such as “students,” “class,” and “learn,” also reduce precision. Aim to use accurate topic-specific phrases and check spelling and word forms carefully; this will make your arguments clearer without requiring more complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including clauses introduced by “because” and “when,” and the personal example is understandable overall. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For instance, “In a class of similar academic abilities of students has its own importance” lacks a clear grammatical subject, while “they all are may be same in age” has an incorrect verb pattern. Punctuation and sentence boundaries also need attention, particularly where several ideas are joined in one sentence. Practise building accurate short sentences first, then combine them using one clear subordinate clause at a time.
