Student answer (Band 5.5)

Few people trust that learners learn better when they are induldging in the class with same subjects whereas, rest of them says that children learn more where they sit with different variety of academic abilities, whic I am going to discuss both points in the upcoming paragraphs alomg with my own opinion.

To begin with, the first point of veiw which is sitting with the children who's having a same intrest in studies so in this way they can get the better grades in that partiular subject whic help them in future to pursue the higher studies in that particular feild which help them to feed themselves and their families.

On the other hand few believs that they need to study different range of subjects which helps them to be all rounders in the subjct and in future they got more option to pursue their field and they have more knowledge of the books whic help them to get the good marks in their school or college which helps the children in the future of their better and bright future.

I personally believe that, learning various subject is more beneficial for the pupil because it gives clarification about the subject which children wants to study in the future and make their career, which help them to get their bread and butter to the table and they will get more ideas from thier friends and will also get to know about building realations.

In conclusion, learning same acadamic abilities in class with the children can help them to be master in the that particuar field whereas learning different subject with various type of children can help them to boost their ideas and get chance to built the relation and communication with the other.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both views and state a preference for learning alongside pupils with varied abilities, so the response is relevant to the question. However, the discussion is only partial: the first view is mainly linked to getting better grades and pursuing further study, while the second is described as gaining broader knowledge and options, without explaining clearly how mixed-ability grouping produces these benefits. Your opinion is present, but its reasoning is also general; for example, “get more ideas from their friends” needs a specific explanation or example. Develop each view with a clear cause-and-effect explanation, and make your position more directly about grouping by academic ability rather than studying different subjects.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. Transitions such as “To begin with,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is less secure, and some links are mechanical or unclear. The opening sentence, for instance, combines the two views and your plan in a long, difficult-to-follow sequence. Repeated use of “which help(s)” also makes connections between ideas imprecise. Organise each body paragraph around one main claim, then explain and illustrate it; use pronouns and linking phrases only when their references are clear.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and future outcomes, including “academic abilities,” “pursue higher studies,” “all rounders,” and “communication.” This gives you some useful range, but word choice and spelling errors are noticeable and occasionally make the intended meaning harder to follow. “Induldging in the class” does not express being placed in a class, and “same subjects” confuses subject choice with academic ability. There are also repeated phrases such as “better future” and “get the good marks,” which limit precision. Choose vocabulary that matches the task’s central distinction—similar-ability and mixed-ability classes—and check spelling and natural word combinations before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt longer sentences and use clauses with “whereas,” “because,” and “which,” showing an effort to connect ideas. However, complex sentences are often faulty, and errors in agreement, articles, and sentence construction can make relationships between ideas difficult to follow. For example, “the first point of view which is sitting with the children who's having a same interest” is not a complete, well-formed sentence, while “which help them” does not consistently agree with its subject. Several sentences also run on without clear punctuation. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences first, then combine them with accurate subordinate clauses; check subject–verb agreement and use commas and full stops to separate complete ideas.
