Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover all five activities and identify the main patterns: film club remains the largest, table tennis rises sharply, and amateur dramatics declines. Several figures are also reported reasonably accurately, such as table tennis reaching about 55 and amateur dramatics falling to around 5–6 by 2020. However, the overview is partly unclear: “Amateur dramatic Martial, and martial arts doesn't have much flucturaction” does not clearly distinguish the two series. There are also factual inaccuracies: musical performances had zero participants in both 2000 and 2005, not just 2005, and film-club numbers dipped to about 60 before rising to 66, rather than simply returning to the same level. Make the overview more precise and compare the series’ endpoints and major changes explicitly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an overview followed by paragraphs describing the activities, and the information generally moves from one series to another in a sensible order. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “Similarly,” “However,” and “Additionally” help signal relationships. At times, though, the progression is weakened by unclear or awkward connections. The overview’s “Amateur dramatic Martial, and martial arts” makes it difficult to follow which trend is being described, while “Similarly” introduces a comparison between film club and martial arts that is not clearly explained. Some sentences also combine several data points without a clear focus. Grouping the two rising activities together and the declining or relatively stable ones together, with clearer topic sentences and references, would make the organisation more consistent.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant vocabulary for describing trends, including “significantly moved up,” “keep the same number,” “peak point,” and “lowest number.” This gives you a workable range for reporting the graph. However, word choice and collocation are often inaccurate or informal, which sometimes makes the meaning less clear. For example, “keep it's best form,” “starts not very impress,” and “same form again” are not natural ways to describe participation figures. There are also spelling and word-form errors, including “flucturaction,” “perons,” and “ended up.” Aim for precise chart language such as “remained the most popular,” “rose sharply,” “recovered,” and “declined steadily,” and check spelling and forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response includes useful structures for comparison and change, such as “However, the graph significantly moved up…” and “Additionally amateur dramatics started… but it keep fell down.” The range is limited, however, and errors recur in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence construction. For instance, “This graph illustrate” needs subject–verb agreement, while “It keep going” and “it keep fell down” use incorrect verb forms. In “around 35 citizens participates,” the plural subject does not agree with the verb. Some sentences also lack clear punctuation or contain awkwardly joined clauses. Practise accurate past-tense reporting and agreement, and use a few controlled complex sentences rather than extending sentences before their grammar is secure.
