Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

You have successfully identified the main trends and provided relevant data points for all categories. The overview is clear and captures the general movement of the data. However, there are some inaccuracies in your reporting; for instance, you describe the film club as having the 'highest peak,' but the graph shows it remains relatively stable compared to the significant growth of table tennis. Additionally, the description of the amateur dramatics trend as a 'sudden drawback' is slightly imprecise. To improve, ensure that your comparisons are more accurate and that you focus on the most significant changes rather than listing every minor fluctuation.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The response is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use some cohesive devices such as 'Overall,' 'However,' and 'Meanwhile' to link your ideas. However, the flow between sentences is occasionally mechanical, and some transitions feel slightly forced. For example, the transition 'As, it got attention' is grammatically awkward and disrupts the logical progression. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensure that the relationship between sentences is more seamless and natural.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey your meaning, including terms like 'participants,' 'stable,' and 'performers.' However, there are some word choice errors and unnatural collocations, such as 'learners of film club' (instead of 'participants in the film club') and 'not much common' (instead of 'not very common'). You also use 'drawback' incorrectly, as this usually refers to a disadvantage rather than a decline in numbers. Expanding your vocabulary to include more precise reporting verbs and nouns related to trends would enhance your score.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While your meaning is generally clear, there are several grammatical errors, such as subject-verb agreement issues ('Film club... have a highest peak') and incorrect verb tenses or forms ('nobody take a part'). Punctuation is generally adequate, but there are some issues with sentence boundaries and comma usage. To improve, pay closer attention to subject-verb agreement and ensure that your verb tenses are consistent when describing past data. Increasing the frequency of error-free complex sentences will also help boost your score.
