The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

 

Student answer (Band 7.0)

The graph illustrates, information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social center in Melbourne, Australia through the year 2000 to 2020.

Overall, it is clear that Film club have remained the highest number of participants over the 20 year period. Meanwhile the Amateur dramatics became the lowest participants club in the year 2020.

The Film club participants dipped slightly in the first 10 year, however the number of participants rose back to 65 in the year 2020.

Similarly, the number of Martial arts member fell twice in the year 2005 and 2015 with 10 year gap, while it increased in the year 2010 and 2020 then adjusted into a 45 members. In addition the table tennis participants edged up in the year 2005 and fluctuated. After 2010 it had rocketed, and the participants turned into a more than 50 in the year 2020.

The Musical performance club opened at 2005, and it climbed up rest of the year. Compared to that Amateur dramatics club increased slightly in the year 2005 then decreased significantly through 2005 to 2020.
