Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 7.0

The response covers all parts of the task, providing a clear overview and reporting on the main trends for each activity. You successfully identified the most popular activity and the one with the most significant growth. However, there are some inaccuracies in data reporting; for example, you state the film club 'regained its initial number' in 2020, but the graph shows it ended at 60, not 65. Additionally, describing musical performances as having a 'small number of proportion' is slightly awkward. To improve, ensure that data points are read precisely and that comparisons are made more explicitly between categories.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 7.0

The essay is logically organized into an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs. You use cohesive devices such as 'Meanwhile', 'Starting with', and 'However' to link ideas. However, the paragraphing is slightly unbalanced, as the final paragraph regarding amateur dramatics is very short and could have been integrated into the previous body paragraph. Additionally, some transitions feel a bit mechanical. To reach a higher band, focus on creating a smoother flow between sentences and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, unified focus.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'abruptly', 'gradually', and 'substantially'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and spelling mistakes, such as 'realtively' (relatively), 'amatuer' (amateur), and 'tabel' (table). The phrase 'small number of proportion' is also non-standard. While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the precision of your writing. To improve, focus on proofreading for spelling and ensuring that collocations are used correctly in an academic context.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, which is appropriate for this task. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'the year 2000 to 2020' (should be 'the years 2000 to 2020'), 'than gradually declining' (should be 'then'), and 'grew marginaly' (should be 'marginally'). Additionally, some sentences are slightly clunky, such as 'The activity with the least number of participants in 2005 is musical performances'. While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of the data.
