The given graph gives us the information about the social activities held at a social centre in Melbourne, Australia from 2000 to 2020. Its seem that people had a keen intrest in film club which is the highest overall. It relatively stayed the same of most of the years we can just notice a little fall in 2010 and it increased in the following years. After film club comes martial arts which had the strength of about 36% of the participants of the club. And had a little ups and downs in following years.

Then comes amateur dramatics which faced a massive decline from year [redacted phone]. While table tennis caught peoples attention from year [redacted phone]. And at the last was music which started gaining little attention in year 2005 and slightly increased till 2020

We can notice that people we more interested in visual entertainment sector rather then the physical sports sector and some of then especially the young generation have interest in table tennis otherwise other weren't in most of the peoples bucket list

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

The response covers the main features of the graph, such as the popularity of the film club and the decline in amateur dramatics. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. The student relies on vague descriptions like 'ups and downs' and 'little fall' rather than providing precise data points or clear comparisons between the categories. Furthermore, the final paragraph introduces subjective commentary ('young generation have interest in table tennis') which is not supported by the data provided in the graph. To reach a higher band, the response should focus strictly on reporting the trends with specific figures and avoid personal speculation.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The response is organised into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the use of cohesive devices is quite mechanical and sometimes repetitive (e.g., starting sentences with 'Then comes' or 'And at the last'). The logical progression between sentences is occasionally weak, making the flow feel disjointed. While the overall message is clear, the lack of sophisticated linking words and the somewhat abrupt transitions between the activities limit the coherence of the report. Improving the variety of transition signals would significantly enhance the readability of the text.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision required for a higher band. There are several instances of informal or imprecise phrasing, such as 'caught peoples attention' and 'bucket list'. Additionally, there are minor errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'intrest' and 'then' instead of 'than'. The range of vocabulary is limited to basic descriptors, which prevents the student from demonstrating a more sophisticated command of the language. Using more academic terminology to describe trends, such as 'fluctuated' or 'remained stable', would be beneficial.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally distract the reader. Examples include 'Its seem that' (It seems), 'strength of about 36%' (which is an inaccurate use of 'strength'), and 'some of then' (some of them). Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly with the use of hyphens and sentence boundaries. While the meaning is generally conveyed, the frequency of these errors suggests a lack of control over complex structures. Focusing on subject-verb agreement and correct preposition usage would improve the accuracy of the writing.
