Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main trends and key features of the graph. The overview is clear, highlighting the dominant activity and the significant changes over the period. You have made relevant comparisons, such as noting the convergence of amateur dramatics and table tennis in 2010. However, the report could be improved by ensuring all data points are accurate; for instance, the description of martial arts fluctuating and returning to the 2010 level is a good analytical observation. To reach a higher band, ensure that all figures mentioned are precise and that the distinction between the start and end points is consistently clear throughout the report.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is logically organized with a clear introduction, overview, and body paragraphs. You have used some cohesive devices, such as 'whereas', 'after 2010', and 'as well as', to link ideas. However, the use of cohesive devices is sometimes a bit mechanical or repetitive. For example, the phrase 'as well as' is used in a way that feels slightly unnatural in the final paragraph. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the overview from the detailed data analysis. To improve, try to vary your linking words and ensure that the transition between sentences flows more naturally.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You have used a sufficient range of vocabulary to describe trends, such as 'downward trend', 'rapid growth', 'fluctuated', and 'gradual growth'. This is appropriate for the task. There are some minor issues with word choice, such as 'five various activities' (which is slightly redundant) and 'table had 15 members' (where 'table tennis' was intended). While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the response from reaching a higher band. Using more precise collocations and avoiding minor slips would enhance the quality of your lexical resource.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You have demonstrated a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors, such as 'table had 15 members' (missing the activity name) and 'Amateur dramatics and table tennis had same no of people' (missing articles). Additionally, 'after 10 years, it showed gradual growth' is slightly awkward phrasing. While these errors are noticeable, they do not prevent the reader from understanding the information. To improve, focus on article usage (the/a) and ensure that your sentence subjects are clearly defined to avoid ambiguity.
