Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the graph and provided a clear overview. You covered all five activities and made relevant comparisons, such as noting the film club's dominance and the decline of amateur dramatics. However, some data points are slightly inaccurate or vague, such as stating the film club was 'equal after 20 years' when the graph shows a clear fluctuation. Additionally, the description of the amateur dramatics trend is slightly confusing regarding the timeframe. To improve, ensure you precisely describe the start and end points of the trends and avoid vague phrasing like 'this trend was happened'.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized into paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs focusing on specific activities. You use some cohesive devices like 'To begin with', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore' to guide the reader. However, the flow is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For instance, the transition between the film club and martial arts is a bit abrupt. The use of referencing is generally clear, but the paragraphing could be more balanced to ensure a smoother progression of information throughout the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'fluctuation', 'proportion', and 'consistent rise'. However, there are several spelling errors ('ameture', 'tabble', 'panticipants', 'perfomance', 'hapenned', 'contituted') and some awkward word choices, such as 'major participants' instead of 'the highest number of participants'. These errors are noticeable but do not prevent the reader from understanding your main points. To reach a higher band, focus on accurate spelling and using more precise collocations to describe statistical trends.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with verb tenses, article usage, and punctuation. For example, 'this trend was happened' is grammatically incorrect, and there are missing spaces after commas throughout the text. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to affect the overall fluency of the writing. To improve, focus on subject-verb agreement and consistent tense usage when describing past data, and ensure your punctuation follows standard conventions.
