The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The line graph illustrates the information of total participant numbers, which take part in various activities in Melbourne's social center, Australia from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, the Film club remained dominant, whereas the Table tennis sports and the Musical performance experienced the increasing trend. However, martial arts remained constant over the given period, although the Amateur dramatics experience dropped over the given period of time.
The Film industry comprised the highest number of participants about 65 individuals, and remained stable, from 2000 to 2020. In contrast, the Amateur dramatics experienced substantially dropped, from 28 participants to only 6 participants in these two decades.
A sport activity Table tennis experienced dramatical climb, from 2010 and went from 20 participants to about 50 participants. Similarly, an increased was also seen in musical artists numbers, it went 0 to 15, from 2005 to 2020. Whereas, the participants of martial arts experienced little fluctuation in these 2 decades and ended on 35 participants in 2020.
