The line graph represents the formatted data of the total amount of participants among several activities held in social centre of Australia in Melbourne between 2000 and 2020.

The total amount of participants are on y-axis of the graph that is labeled up to 70 and surely on the x-axis, it goes from 2000 to 2020. The highest number of participants are reported between 60 and 70 participants of Fan club and that remains almost same throughout the years.

There are many events happened among different activities. Firstly, if we look at Musical performance, it started from 2005 and we can look a slight increase among the years that goes almost up to 20. Secondly, Amateur dramatics faced a high drop after 2005 from almost 30 participants to less than 10. Finally, the immediate rise occurred in Table tennis after 2010 that appears up to 50 above students.

The Fan club and Martial arts remains nearly constant our the whole period of time. The huge appreciation goes to the Table tennis for its huge growth.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response covers the main features of the graph, such as the stability of the Fan club and the growth of Table tennis. However, the analysis is somewhat superficial. For example, the description of the y-axis as 'labeled up to 70' is unnecessary procedural detail rather than a summary of the data. The report lacks a clear overview or 'summary' paragraph that synthesizes the trends. Furthermore, some data points are described vaguely, such as 'above students' instead of referring to the number of participants. To reach a higher band, you should focus on grouping trends more effectively and providing a clear, concise overview of the most significant changes.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The response is organized into paragraphs, which helps the reader follow the information. However, the progression of ideas is somewhat mechanical. The use of cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Secondly', and 'Finally' is a bit repetitive and simplistic. Additionally, some sentences feel disconnected, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the final paragraph where 'The huge appreciation goes to the Table tennis' is an awkward way to introduce a trend. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear thematic focus would enhance the flow of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and variety. You rely on basic terms like 'amount of participants' (which should be 'number of participants') and 'huge growth'. There are also some awkward collocations, such as 'huge appreciation goes to the Table tennis', which is not appropriate for a formal report. To improve, try to use more precise verbs to describe trends, such as 'fluctuated', 'remained stable', or 'experienced a sharp decline'. Expanding your range of academic vocabulary will help you convey information more professionally.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors. For instance, 'The total amount of participants are on y-axis' contains subject-verb agreement issues and missing articles. 'There are many events happened' is also grammatically incorrect. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. You should focus on subject-verb agreement, the correct use of articles, and ensuring that your sentence structures are grammatically sound.
