Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5

The response covers all key features of the graph, including the overall trends and specific data points for the various activities. You successfully identified the most popular activity (film club) and the least popular ones at different intervals. However, the overview is slightly weak; while it mentions fluctuations, it could be more precise by highlighting the most significant changes, such as the dramatic rise in table tennis participation. The data is generally accurate, though the phrasing 'the least one table tennis' is awkward and slightly confusing. Overall, the response provides a clear summary of the information presented in the graph.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5

The essay is logically organized into clear paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and two body paragraphs focusing on different activities. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'To begin with', 'On the other hand', and 'After than', although some transitions are slightly mechanical or grammatically incorrect (e.g., 'After than' should be 'After that'). The progression of ideas is generally clear, and the information is grouped logically by activity type. While there is some minor repetition in sentence structure, the overall flow is sufficient to guide the reader through the data.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You demonstrate an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, using terms like 'fluctuated', 'significant rise', and 'dramatically drop'. However, there are several instances of word-choice errors and awkward phrasing, such as 'the least one table tennis' and 'stabled' (instead of 'stabilized' or 'remained stable'). Additionally, there are consistent issues with pluralization, such as '65 participant' instead of '65 participants'. While these errors do not impede communication, they limit the score as they show a lack of precision in using less common lexical items.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The response uses a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors throughout the text, particularly regarding subject-verb agreement and article usage (e.g., 'film club had', 'the least numbers of participant was'). The sentence 'Other activities were fluctuated with the time' is grammatically incorrect; it should be 'Other activities fluctuated over time'. While the meaning remains clear, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. More attention to verb tenses and plural forms would significantly improve the accuracy of your writing.
