Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response attempts to address the task but fails to provide a clear or accurate summary of the data. The information presented is often confusing and lacks a logical connection to the graph. For instance, the mention of '10% increase' or '13% increase' does not clearly correspond to the trends shown in the graph, and the reference to 'data implementation' is unclear. The overview is weak and does not highlight the main trends or significant differences between the activities. The response struggles to select and report the main features effectively, leading to a fragmented and inaccurate summary of the provided information.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a logical structure. The introduction is poorly phrased, and the body paragraphs do not follow a clear progression of ideas. The use of cohesive devices is mechanical and often inappropriate, such as the misuse of 'wherever' and 'nevertheless'. Paragraphing is present but does not serve to organize the information logically. The transition between sentences is often abrupt, making it difficult for the reader to follow the writer's train of thought. The overall arrangement of information is disjointed, which significantly hinders the clarity of the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is limited and often used incorrectly. Phrases such as 'data implementation', 'working capacity', and 'strong capable competition' are used in ways that do not convey the intended meaning. There are frequent spelling errors (e.g., 'hownumver', 'demonstarte', 'icrease', 'limlit') and word choice inaccuracies that impede communication. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe trends or data points accurately, and the writer relies on repetitive and imprecise language throughout the response.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often obscure the meaning. There are issues with sentence structure, such as run-on sentences and fragments. Subject-verb agreement is inconsistent, and the use of articles and prepositions is frequently incorrect. Complex sentence structures are attempted but are almost always faulty, leading to confusion. Punctuation is also problematic, with erratic spacing and misuse of commas. While the reader can occasionally grasp the general topic, the high frequency of errors makes the text difficult to read and understand.
