Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response attempts to address the task by describing trends, but it fails to provide a clear overview or highlight the most significant features. The description of trends is often inaccurate or confusing, such as stating that 'film club and martial arts both are same' without clarifying their actual values or relative positions. The report lacks a cohesive summary of the main trends (e.g., the overall growth of musical performance versus the decline of amateur dramatics). Furthermore, the data interpretation is inconsistent, and the lack of specific figures or clear comparative language makes it difficult for the reader to follow the trends accurately.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The response is organised into paragraphs, but the progression of ideas is disjointed. While there are some attempts at cohesive devices like 'Additionally' and 'On the other hand', they are often used incorrectly or do not logically connect the sentences. The referencing is frequently unclear, and the lack of a logical flow between the description of different activities makes the report feel like a list of disconnected observations rather than a coherent summary. Paragraphing is present but does not effectively group related information.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is limited and repetitive. There are frequent spelling errors, such as 'flim' for 'film', 'tenis' for 'tennis', 'muscial' for 'musical', and 'amater' for 'amateur'. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to describe trends with precision; the writer relies on basic verbs like 'remain', 'increase', and 'decrease' without using more sophisticated alternatives or varied collocations. The errors in spelling and word choice are noticeable and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that impede clarity. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'The graph show', 'amateur dramatics remain', 'martial arts was also remain') and tense usage (e.g., 'musical performance start from 2005'). Sentence structures are simple and often repetitive, with little evidence of complex sentence forms. Punctuation is also inconsistent, particularly regarding the use of commas and sentence boundaries. These errors are frequent and often distort the intended meaning.
