Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0

You have successfully identified the main features of the graph, such as the overall trends and the relative popularity of the activities. However, the report lacks precision in data reporting. For example, you state that participation in the film club ranged from 60-70, but the graph shows a more specific trend. Additionally, your description of the 2010 data for table tennis and amateur dramatics is slightly inaccurate based on the visual evidence. To improve, ensure that you provide more precise data points and avoid vague phrasing like 'remained same almost 20'. A clearer overview of the most significant changes would also strengthen your response.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0

The response is logically organized into paragraphs, with an introduction, an overview, and body paragraphs focusing on specific activities. You use some cohesive devices such as 'To begin with' and 'Moving further' to guide the reader. However, the transition between ideas is sometimes mechanical, and the referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the sentence regarding the 2010 data where the connection between the two activities is slightly confusing. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear, singular focus will help improve the flow of your writing.

Lexical Resource — Band 6.0

You have a sufficient range of vocabulary to convey the information, using terms like 'fluctuation', 'abrupt decline', and 'surged'. However, there are some inaccuracies in word choice and collocation, such as 'film club section' (which is redundant) and 'the counts of table tennis volunteers was surged' (incorrect verb form). While these errors do not impede communication, they prevent the response from reaching a higher band. To improve, focus on using more precise terminology for describing trends and ensure that your verb forms match the subjects they describe.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. There are several grammatical errors throughout the text, such as 'minimum was in music section' (missing article), 'remained same' (missing 'the'), and 'fell upto 4' (incorrect preposition usage). Additionally, there are issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'the counts... was surged'. While these errors are noticeable, they rarely impede the reader's understanding of the data. To reach a higher band, focus on consistent use of articles, correct preposition usage, and ensuring that your verb tenses are used accurately when describing past trends.
