Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 150 words, which significantly impacts the ability to fully develop the response. While you have attempted to identify main features, the report is incomplete; it cuts off abruptly in the second paragraph, meaning the data for the latter half of the period is missing. To reach a higher band, you must ensure all parts of the task are addressed, including a complete overview and a full description of the data trends. The current lack of completion prevents a thorough comparison of the activities over the full 20-year period.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organised into two paragraphs, but the structure is compromised by the incomplete nature of the text. While there is an attempt at an overview, the transition between the introduction and the body is abrupt. Cohesive devices are used, such as 'Overall' and 'In details', but the flow is hindered by punctuation errors, such as the double commas and the lack of proper sentence boundaries. The progression of ideas is interrupted by the unfinished final sentence, which prevents a logical conclusion to the report.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary is somewhat limited and contains several inaccuracies. Phrases like 'digital amount of participants' are unnatural; 'number of participants' would be more appropriate. There are also spelling errors such as 'plummted' (plummeted), 'wheras' (whereas), 'parcipants' (participants), and 'cahr' (chart). While you have attempted to use some descriptive verbs like 'plunged' and 'varied', the overall range is restricted, and the frequent spelling mistakes occasionally impede the reader's understanding of the intended meaning.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response contains a mix of simple and complex structures, but there are frequent errors in grammar and punctuation. For example, 'its clearly shown' should be 'it is clearly shown', and 'musical performances didnt have parcipants' lacks the necessary apostrophe. The sentence structure is often disjointed, and the misuse of commas creates run-on sentences. While the meaning is generally understandable, the high frequency of grammatical slips and punctuation errors prevents the text from achieving a higher band score.
