The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given graph provides information on the number of participants for various activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period of 2000 to 2020. Flim club, Martial arts, Amateur dramatcs, Table tennis, and Musical performances are the activities in which people participated.
The data from the graph depicts that participants were more interested in flim club as comapred to the rest of the activities. For instance, more than 60 people but less than 70 participants were active in film club activity from the period of 2000 to 2020. On the other hand, in 2000, people were not interested in musical performances, but with the passage of time, they statred taking interest in this activity too. For instance, graph shows that more than 10 people took part in musical performances in the year 2020.
Furthermore, Amateur dramatics acitivity shows an interesting trend. For example, by th year of 2010, only 20 people participated, but in 2020, more than 50 people were into this activity.
Lastly, martial arts is the only activity where people's interest had been remained constant throughout the period.
Hence, the given graphs illustrates particpants' interest for different activities in Melbourne, Australia for the peiod of 2000 to 2020.
