IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

 

Student answer (Band 5.5)

The line graph illustrates the data of individuals taking part in different activities to a social centre in Melbourne and Australia between 2000 and 2020.

Overall, the film club remained the most favorite activity among the people throghout the period, while musical instruments showed a less intersetd activity.

In 2010, 15 people participate in table tenis but after 2010, there can be seen a huge rise in participations which is around 55 of the individuals.While amateur dramatics shows a steady rise at around 25, after this there is a dramatic fall around 5 people in 2020. In contrast the biggest decline in musical performances can be seen at first, but after that there is a steady rise around 15 people in 2020.In martial art some fluctuations held during two decades, it gradually fell in 2020. In 2000, film club remained most popular among the people around 62 persons take part in it, there is a tiny rise after 10 years.
