The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The graph chart illustrate the numbers of participants in 5 categories of activities at one social center in melbourne, Australia over the years from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, the participants in table tennis is increased considerably while amateur dramatics decreased. And martial arts shows some fluctuation wheras film club remained stable during the period.
In 2000, the number of participants in film club was highest (about 63) than any other activity.In 2005 , the line graph of martial arts shows some slightly decrease while amateur dramatics and table tennis increased slightly. In the year of 2010, the number of participants in amatuer dramatic and table tennis were alomost the same at approximately 17.
Though film club shows some fluctuation but it was always higher than any other activities during the years between 2000 to 2020. after 2010 the graph of amatuer dramatics fall to nearly 5 in 2020. And the number of participants in musical performances has increased during the years between 2005 to 2020 where in 2000 it was at 0.
