The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.5)
The provided graph illustrates facts on the amount of individuals who participated in five type of activities(Film club, Martial arts, Amateur dramatics, Table tennis and Musical performances) at a social centre in the melbourne city of australia between 2000 and 2020.
Overall, it can be seen that table tennis participants increased significantly from 2000 to 2020. Whereas, amateur dramatics declined dramatically over the period of time.
Turning to the details, highest percentage of members took a part at film club activity from 2000 to 2020 with around 65 participants which remains almost constant till the last years. Moreover, number of amateur dramatics members decreased significantly with less than 10 residents in 2020 whereas it was around 25 in 2000.
Furthermore, the people who participated in table tennis rose dramatically from less than 20 to over 50 however martial arts remains almost constant in these 20 years. Finally, members of musical performances increased by no member to over 15 people till 2020.
