The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The line graph illustrates the number of members participated in five distinct activites at a community centre in Melbourne, Australia between 2000 and 2020.
Overall, it is clear that the musical performance and table tennis sginificantly increased while the amateur dramatics has shown a contineous decline. The film club and martial arts showed a little fluctuation but remained almost contant by the end of year.
In 2000, the film club was the most popular activity having participants nearly 65 followed by martial arts which acounted for around 36 members. The amateur dramatics and table tennis were having members approximately 27 and 17 respectively. Lastly, the participant of musical performances were zero.
In 2010, the interest of people in ammateur dramatics declined reaching approximately 18. The table tennis and musical performances increased to nearly 20 and 12 respectively. The film club showed a small decline reaching to 60. The martial arts also increase a little to 38.
