The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

 

Student answer (Band 5.0)

From 2000 to 2020, we see changes in number of participants especially in table tennis which increased and in amateur dramatics which decreased where film club, martial arts had same percentage throughout the period in Melbourne, Australia. Also, a noticable change in musical performance we see as it had zero percentage till 2005 but after that people show some interest anf throughout that period it got around 15% of percentage in 2020. Table tennis had same interesets of people which is around 15% till 2010 but after that suddenly it got popularity and ended up getting 55% on 2020. However, it seemed like people lose interest in amateur dramatics as at first it had 25% of participants but after 2005, it faced fall and on 2020 it eneded up on 5% becoming the lowest participants among all other activities. Although Martial arts faced ups and downs throughout the perios but it ended up same 35% like it had in the beginning. Moreover, it is a noticable that film club from the beginning had higest number in participants which was 63% in 2000 and it maintained the ration likely same and ended up getting 65% of participants.
