The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given line graph tracks the information about the number of participants for several activities such as Film club, Martial arts, Amateur dramatics, Table tennis, Musical performances at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia from 2000 to 2020. The data has been measured in numbers.
Overall, it can be clearly seen that number of individuals taking part in Film club was highest in every year. Number of participants taking part in Musical performances was the lowest.
To commence with, number of people taking part in Film club was highest in initial year which was 70 and remaind almost same till the latter year. Subsequently, Martial arts participants were slightly lower and were 35 approx in 2000 and stayed same till 2020.
Moving further, there were no individuals taking part in Musical performances untill 2005 and it increased by 18 at the end. Upward trend was seen in the people taking part in the Table tennis as it increased sharply and ended up with 50 participants in the latter year.
