The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The line graphs illustrate the data of total participants in mulitple activities at one social center in Melbourne, Australia from 2000 to 2020.
Overall, there are total five activities. The highest in number of candidates are film club throughout the period and least is Amateur dramatics by 2020. The other activities vary every year but table tennis hike from 2010.
The film club members in the year 2000 to 2020 were about 65 and reached 68 respectively, with a minor drop in number in the year 2010. The next is Martial arts started with around 36 people in 2000 and fluctuated throughout the period till 2020 with same quantity. Following this, Amateur dramatics remain steady from 2000 to 2005 nearly 26 participants then graddually dropped every year and reached around 7 person by the year 2020.
The table tennis commence with approximately 16 applicants in 2000 with slow increase in 2005 around 20 members then remain constant, after that hold an sudden growth in 2010 reaching around 55 persons by 2020. At last, Musical performances was zero people till 2005 , then moderate ballon crossing more than 10 in 2010, again slowly mount till 2020 ending with nearly 19 participants.
