The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given graph illustrates the number of participants for different kind of activities at one social centre in Australia city Melbourne for the period 2000 to 2020.
Overall it can be seen that film club activity dominated the graph.Whereas, Amateur dramatic activity recorded declined over the period. Other activities such as Musical performance, Martial art and Table tennis also reported significant changes throuout the period.
To begin with, martial art approximately 35 participants were participated in 2000 and figure fluctuated till 2020. In addition, around 65 people were involved in film club activity in 2000 before decreased to 60 in 2010 and increased again to 65 in 2020. However, amateur dramatic activity recorded roughly 26 participants in 2000 before slighly increased to 27 in 2005 while, this figure dramatically fell down to approximately 5 participants in 2020.
turning to the remaining activities, nearly 20 participants were intrusted in tennis ball from 2000 to 2010, however, this figure increased significantly over the period to approximately 52 participants in 2020. Whereas, no person involed in musical performance activity from 2000 to 2005 before around 18 participants in 2020. The number of participants for amateur dramatic and table tennis were recorded same in 2010.
