Student answer (Band 5.0)
The line graph demonstrates the number of participents in various activites including film club, martial arts, amateur dramatics, table tennis, and lastly musical perfomances from the yaer 2000 till 2020.
Film club is top of the box because of such various characteristics. In 2020, approximately 65 participents were inrolled in this catagory with a slight downward trend in 2010 with 60 participents which again grew to nearest 70 till 2020.
Secondly, Martial arts also contains a significent number of participents. In 2000 more then 36 members were joined in social centre. However, the line graph is bit bumpy, every year the trend completely turn his hands.
Moreover, amateur dramatics also has an unusual graph. in early 2000s, there were more then 25 participents in social club which elevated to 30 in 2005 however, since then the graph rapidly fell untill 2020. Furthermore, table tennis had an opposite circumstances, it rapidly blushed up from 2010 till 2020 and lastly, musical performances which lately got it's kich in 2005 and then gradually gathered it's participents till 2020.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The student attempts to address the task by describing the main features of the line graph, such as the popularity of the film club and the growth of table tennis. However, there are significant factual inaccuracies in reporting the data. For instance, the text claims that amateur dramatics elevated to 30 in 2005, whereas the graph shows it at approximately 28. More importantly, the response fails to provide a clear, overarching summary or a well-structured overview of the main trends. The reporting of specific figures is often vague, using phrases like 'nearest 70' or 'more then 36', and key trends for several categories are misinterpreted or poorly articulated. Consequently, the task is only partially addressed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response is structured into a short introduction and a single, overly dense body paragraph that attempts to cram all the remaining information together. This lack of proper paragraphing hinders logical progression. Cohesive devices are used, but they are often awkward or mechanical, such as 'Secondly', 'Moreover', and 'Furthermore'. Referencing is also occasionally unclear, for example when stating 'the trend completely turn his hands' or describing table tennis as having 'opposite circumstances'. While there is an overall attempt to group information by activity, the cohesive links and paragraph structure require substantial improvement to achieve a higher band.
Lexical Resource: Band 4.5
The vocabulary used is limited and contains numerous spelling and word-choice errors throughout the text. Examples include 'participents' instead of participants, 'activites' instead of activities, 'perfomances' instead of performances, 'inrolled' instead of enrolled, and 'catagory' instead of category. Furthermore, the writer attempts some less common phrasing, but these expressions are awkward or unnatural in an academic context, such as 'top of the box', 'rapidly blushed up', and 'got it's kich'. These errors cause some strain for the reader and prevent the lexical score from reaching a higher level.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The student uses a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but grammatical accuracy is weak. There are frequent errors in verb tense consistency, prepositions, and subject-verb agreement, such as 'the trend completely turn his hands' and 'more then 36 members were joined in social centre' (passive voice misuse). Punctuation is also problematic, particularly run-on sentences in the final paragraph where multiple clauses are joined incorrectly with commas. While basic sentence structures are generally understandable, the frequency of grammatical errors restricts the score to a 5.0.
