The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

 

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The line graph depicts the data of various participants activities at one social centre in Melbourne city of Australia from 2000 to 2020.

Overall, participants in film club and martial arts were recorded high. however, table tennis shows increase in the trend at the last five years. strength of amateur dramatics and musical performance were low all over the period.

Film club has sustain its trend all over the period. In 2000, they have 62 percent participants while in 2010 it was slighlty decrease to 60 percent and then reached to 63 percent in 2020. The martial art shows fluctuation through out the period. In 2000 the numbers of participant were 38 percent after that its goes down and up with 2 to 3 percent every five years and in the end of the time it has at same position of 2000.

Table tennis gain strong interest with a time. In 2000 it had only 18 percent participants and after that it started interest in participants and in 2020 it reached to around 60 percent and that was the only game who gets the highest interest. In 2000 musical performance was zero particpant and that trend was contine till 2005 and after that it rapidy increase and in 2020 it had 20 percent participants
