The graph below gives information on the numbers of participants for different activities at one social centre in Melbourne, Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

 

 

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The line graph traces the number of participants enrolled for various activities at single social center in Melbourne, Australia in the time frame of two decades starting from the 2000 till 2020.

At first glance, film club appears to be the most prefered activity by the participants across entire time frame. However in initial phase musical performances were totally avoided by people, later gained popularity as time passed and kept surging gradually.

Although film clubs remained top priority this activity withnessed slight decline in the year 2010 with all time low of 60 attendies, nevertheless it hit highest number of public enrollment in 2020 with over 65 people. Martial arts maintained stability over entire period with just negligible variation but however participents were down to 30 in 2005 from its starting stage with approximately 35 enrollments. Table tennis somehow emarged as second most prefered activity by the end of 2020 with nearly 65 participents, which phenomenal surge from 2010. One pronounced factor about amateur dramatics was that it was initially accepted by crowd but somehow plunged with time to least preferred activity by the end of 2020 as downfall started from year 2005. Musical performances were avoided until 2005 and the rised gradually from 0 to around 25 in recent times.
