Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You attempted to cover the main features of the chart, providing a general overview and citing figures for the different activities. However, the response only partially addresses the task because some of the data reported is inaccurate. For instance, you stated that around 18 performances took part in table tennis in 2000, whereas the graph clearly shows it was 16. Furthermore, your description of the trends lacks sufficient support and precision, such as stating 'a little rose' (rise) or describing participants as 'performances' ('around 18 performances take participate in it'). To reach a higher standard, you must ensure that all figures and data points cited are accurately read from the visual prompt and that comparisons are made more clearly.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

There is some organisation in your response, with the information broken down into distinct paragraphs, and you attempted to use linking phrases such as 'Overall', 'To commence with', and 'Probing further'. However, there is no clear overall progression of ideas, and some of the transitions feel mechanical or awkward. Additionally, referencing is occasionally unclear, such as the pronoun use in 'and they show a little intrest'. Cohesive devices are sometimes used inaccurately or repetitively, for instance, 'Adding more' and 'Adding to this'. To improve Coherence and Cohesion, you should focus on creating a smoother logical flow between sentences and paragraphs without relying on repetitive transitional phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

Your vocabulary is limited but minimally adequate for the task. You attempted some less common vocabulary items, but this resulted in noticeable word-choice and word-form errors that may cause some difficulty for the reader. Examples include 'seperate' instead of 'separate', 'intrest' instead of 'interest', 'participents' instead of 'participants', and awkward phrases like 'ratio declined' and 'a little rose was seen'. To achieve a higher band, you need to expand your lexical range and use words more accurately in terms of collocation and spelling, avoiding basic typographical and word-formation errors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You demonstrated a limited range of structures, mostly relying on simple sentences with frequent attempts at complex structures that often contain errors. There are frequent grammatical mistakes relating to verb forms, tenses, and prepositions within grammatical patterns. Examples include 'the number of individuals for taking part' instead of 'taking part', 'who participate' instead of 'who participated', 'the intrest increase upto' instead of 'increased up to', and 'It was went up' instead of 'It went up'. These frequent errors can cause difficulty for the reader. To improve, you need to exercise better control over basic grammatical structures, subject-verb agreement, and past tense consistency.
