The line Graph depicts the ratio of participants in various activities at one social centre in Melbourne,Australia between 2000 and 2020.
Overall filmclub members have the greatest proportion of 65 members since 2000 till 2020 and has not shown any major decline followed by table tannis players showing an active surge in 2020 after facing a constant number of participant from 2000 to 2010.
Martial arts could be seen with an inconsistent pattern among all these years ranging in between 32-35 players.Amateure dramatics and Musical Performances on the other hand did not show any noticable incline by remaining in the range of 25 participants in 2005 and a number of maximum 18 participants in 2020.
This makes film club Table tennis and as a highly selected activity and also demonstrated the lack of interest of people in Amateur Dramatics as well as Musical Performances over all these years. Martial Arts remains in between both of these.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
The response sits at this level because it attempts to address all parts of the task by selecting key activities and outlining general trends, but it falls short in several key areas. Crucially, the response is one word short of the 150-word minimum requirement. While an overview is attempted, it is partially fused into the conclusion and contains inaccurate summaries, such as claiming film club members remained constantly at 65 from 2000 to 2020 when the data actually fluctuates between 60 and 66. Furthermore, some data points are misreported or vague, such as stating that amateur dramatics and musical performances remained in the range of '25 participants in 2005', which misreads the chart where musical performances were at zero. To move up, you must carefully verify data points against the visual and ensure that all main features and comparisons are fully and accurately supported without missing the word count threshold.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
Cohesion and logical progression are moderately handled. The writing has an overall logical arrangement, moving from an introduction to general trends and specific categories. However, the internal cohesion of sentences and paragraphs is frequently faulty or mechanical. For instance, the transition 'followed by table tannis players showing an active surge' is clumsy, and the final paragraph attempts to bundle too many conclusions together rather than maintaining a clear organizational flow. Paragraphing is underutilized, as the entire body of information is clustered into overly dense blocks. To reach a higher band, you need to use cohesive devices more accurately and naturally, and divide your response into distinct, logical paragraphs where each main trend or category receives clear, dedicated focus.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
Vocabulary usage is adequate for conveying basic information about the chart, but it is limited and marred by noticeable errors. You attempt some less common vocabulary items, such as 'proportion', 'active surge', and 'inconsistent pattern', but these are accompanied by spelling and word-choice mistakes like 'tannis' instead of 'tennis', 'Amateure', and 'noticable'. Furthermore, collocations are occasionally awkward, such as 'greatest proportion of 65 members'. These errors cause some distraction for the reader. To achieve a higher band, you must expand your lexical range, improve your spelling control, and use vocabulary with greater precision, ensuring that terms like 'surge', 'decline', and 'range' are applied correctly to statistical data.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The grammatical range is limited, relying on a mix of simple structures and overly long, run-on sentences that lack proper punctuation. There are frequent errors in basic grammar, punctuation, and article usage throughout the text. For example, missing commas in introductory clauses, incorrect comma splices, and minor prepositional issues reduce overall accuracy. Complex sentence attempts are often faulty, such as the overly dense concluding sentence ('This makes film club Table tennis and as a highly selected activity...'), which breaks down grammatically and becomes difficult to parse. To improve your grammar score, you should focus on writing shorter, clearer sentences, ensuring proper subject-verb agreement, and thoroughly proofreading your work to eliminate frequent basic errors.
