The provided line graph illustrates data of number of individuals in Melbourne, Australia taking part in numrous acticities at one social centre for the timeframe of two decades from 2000 to 2020.

Overall, number of participants increased in all activities over the time but amateur dramatics had a significant drop. At first, Film club contained most people and musical performances activities contained the least maybe because it started after others but the eye catching increase happened in table tennis.

To begin with, film club was at top in 2000 with around 65 participants and musical performances was at last in 2005 with 0 participants. Film club's popularity fluctuated over the time and reached at around 67 in 2020. However, musical performance gained a lot of people by time and reached at approximately 15 participants in 2020.

Furthermore, Martial arts also fluctuated and started and ended at about 35 people doing that activity in 2000 and 2020. Apparently, the most dramatic increase happened in table tannis which increasedfrom 15 people to about 52. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the main patterns: film club remains the largest activity, table tennis rises sharply, and amateur dramatics declines substantially. Several figures are also broadly accurate, including film club at about 65 initially and martial arts at roughly 35 at both endpoints. However, the overview says participation “increased in all activities,” which conflicts with the decline in amateur dramatics and the broadly stable martial-arts figures. Some details are incomplete or imprecise: table tennis rises from about 16 to 54, while musical performances begin at zero in both 2000 and 2005 and reach about 18 in 2020. The response covers the key activities, but clearer, more accurate comparisons and a fully consistent overview would strengthen the report.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two detail paragraphs. Sequencing with “To begin with” and “Furthermore” helps the reader follow the discussion, and the main activities are grouped into manageable sections. However, the overview’s claim that all activities increased conflicts with the later account of amateur dramatics, weakening the progression of ideas. Some linking is mechanical, and “On the other hand” does not clearly establish a contrast between the table-tennis rise and the amateur-dramatics fall. The final sentence is cut off, leaving the last comparison incomplete. Make the overview consistent with the details, use transitions that express the precise relationship between trends, and ensure the ending is complete.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use relevant vocabulary for describing a graph, including “fluctuated,” “dramatic increase,” “significant drop,” and “participants,” so the meaning is generally clear. There are also attempts at varied phrasing, such as “eye catching increase.” However, spelling errors (“numrous,” “acticities,” “tannis”) and awkward or imprecise collocations reduce control. Phrases such as “Film club contained most people,” “musical performances activities,” and “gained a lot of people by time” are not natural ways to describe participation. Prefer concise graph language such as “had the highest number of participants,” “the figure for musical performances,” and “rose gradually.” Check spelling and use consistent activity names to make the report more precise.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt a mix of simple and complex sentences, including contrast with “However” and “On the other hand,” and most of the trends remain understandable. Some grammatical errors occur in sentence structure and patterns: “Overall, number of participants increased” needs an article, while “reached at around 67” uses an unnecessary preposition. The sentence “Film club was at top” also needs a more accurate grammatical construction, and “started and ended at about 35 people doing that activity” is awkwardly formed. Punctuation and spacing are inconsistent, and the final sentence is incomplete. Practise accurate articles, prepositions, and complete sentence endings, while retaining your attempts to combine ideas in longer sentences.
