Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify the main series and several important trends: film club remains the largest, table tennis rises markedly, and amateur dramatics declines. The overview also attempts to compare the activities, and most reported figures are broadly consistent with the chart. However, the claim that “all the clubs increased till the end of 2020 except” amateur dramatics is inaccurate: martial arts fluctuates around the mid-30s rather than showing an overall rise, and film club dips before recovering. The film club ends at about 66, not 70. Your account of table tennis and amateur dramatics is more fully developed than that of martial arts. More precise overview statements and accurate endpoint comparisons would provide the additional clarity needed for a stronger response.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs describing the activities. Information is generally grouped sensibly, and sequencing phrases such as “Afterwards” and “Initially” help readers follow changes over time. However, some linking is mechanical or repetitive, particularly the repeated use of “till the end of 2020” and “At last,” which does not introduce a useful final comparison. The overview’s broad claim about increases also conflicts with the later description of martial arts as fluctuating. Improve progression by grouping the main upward trends together, then contrasting them with the stable or declining series, and use clearer references to specific years.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use an adequate range of task-related vocabulary, including “gradual increase,” “rose sharply,” “fluctuated,” and “decline,” which helps describe different patterns. Some choices are imprecise or repetitive, however: “number of participants for” is repeated, and “greater” is less natural than “higher” when comparing figures. There are also spelling errors, including “intially” and “flucuated,” and “clubs” is not always the most accurate label for the activities shown. Aim for more precise collocations such as “participant numbers,” “remained relatively stable,” and “fell steadily,” while checking spelling and avoiding repeated wording. These improvements would make the description more fluent and exact.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.0
You use a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, including clauses introduced by “whereas” and “despite,” and the main meaning is generally clear. Some grammatical errors remain. For example, “at social centre” needs an article, and “the number of participants … were highest” has a subject–verb agreement problem. In “the only club were number of participants fell,” the relative structure and article are incorrect; “despite of” also uses an incorrect pattern. Several sentences rely on long chains of time phrases, which makes their structure less controlled. Practise accurate articles, agreement, and relative clauses, and divide longer descriptions into clearer sentences. Greater consistency in these areas would strengthen the range you already attempt.
