Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main contrasting trends: table tennis rises markedly, amateur dramatics declines, and film club and martial arts remain broadly stable. The overview also gives the reader a useful summary of the chart. Most reported figures are close to the visual data, including the approximate starting and ending levels for table tennis and amateur dramatics. However, some details are unclear or incomplete: musical performances rose from zero only after 2005, reaching about 18 by 2020, while your account gives a vague range of “10 to 15” and does not specify the endpoint. The claim that only table tennis changed remarkably also understates the substantial decline in amateur dramatics. Report the key trends more precisely and distinguish stable series from those that changed considerably.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, an overview, and two paragraphs describing the trends. The sequence from the general picture to individual activities is easy to follow, and linking expressions such as “In contrast,” “Whereas,” and “Similarly” help signal comparisons. Some connections are nevertheless mechanical or unclear. For example, “Other activities showed the similar pattern” does not clearly explain which activities share a pattern, and “From 2000 to 2005, Musical performances have no participation, after 2005 experienced…” joins ideas awkwardly. Grouping the stable activities together and the rising or falling activities together would make the progression more purposeful. Use clearer references and ensure each sentence connects smoothly to the one before it.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant vocabulary for describing trends, including “remarkable change,” “significant fall,” “constant,” and “remained same,” so the main comparisons are understandable. There is also some attempt to vary wording rather than repeat “participants” throughout. However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for this task, such as “commendable rose,” “decrement,” “participation at social Centre,” and “participants enrollment.” These expressions make the description less precise and fluent, even though the intended meaning can generally be inferred. Prefer standard chart language and accurate collocations, for example “a sharp rise,” “a decline,” “participation in activities,” and “the number of participants.” More consistent use of these natural phrases would improve clarity and control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including contrast clauses such as “Whereas Amateur dramatics showed…” and sentences beginning “Similarly.” The overall meaning is usually recoverable, but some grammatical errors recur. For example, “Musical performances have no participation” uses an unsuitable tense for a past-period chart, while “after 2005 experienced” lacks a clear grammatical subject. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence construction in “In film club participants enrollment was 65” and “Martial arts its started with 35.” Use consistent past-tense forms, include a subject in each clause, and check articles and sentence boundaries. These corrections would make your range of structures more controlled and reduce the effort needed to understand some sentences.
