Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5

You identify the main series and make a useful attempt to describe changes, including the film club’s high starting point and amateur dramatics’ decline. However, the overview is incomplete and partly inaccurate: musical performances began at zero and rose to about 18, so they were not the lowest throughout, and table tennis ended as the second-largest activity at about 54. Several details are also misreported or unclear: musical performances reached about 12 in 2010, not 20, and the final sentence says “from 2015 to 2000,” reversing the period. The response therefore covers only some key features, with limited and under-developed comparisons. Give a clear overview of the contrasting trends and report the main end-point changes accurately.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has an identifiable structure: an introduction, an overview, and two detail paragraphs. Phrases such as “Overall,” “Heading to details,” and “Proving further” show an attempt to guide the reader. However, progression is not consistently clear because several activities and time periods are combined in long, confusing sentences. For example, the sentence beginning “The table tennis and.amateur dramtical…” shifts between two series and multiple years without clearly separating their trends. “Both this activities of this equilibrium at this point” is difficult to interpret, and the final comparison is unclear. Use one paragraph for the overview and organise details by clear trends or time periods, with accurate linking and references.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some relevant chart vocabulary, including “participants,” “declined,” “rose,” and “fluctuate,” and you attempt to describe change rather than simply list figures. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make the meaning difficult to follow. Expressions such as “maximum number … taken part,” “rose till thousand 20,” and “equilibrium at this point” are not suitable or clear in context. There are also noticeable spelling and word-form errors, including “melbourn,” “dramtical,” and “activites.” Aim for precise, standard phrases for describing data, such as “the number of participants,” “increased to,” and “remained stable,” and check spelling of activity names.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

There is an attempt to use both simple statements and longer sentences with contrast, but control is limited and errors are frequent enough to make some relationships difficult to understand. The opening has subject–verb and article problems: “The line graph illustrate” should be “The line graph illustrates,” and “people who interested” needs a verb form such as “people who were interested.” Other examples include “it remain constant,” “the martial art was fluctuate,” and “both film club and martial art go up,” where tense and verb forms are inaccurate. Sentence boundaries and punctuation are also inconsistent, particularly in the long detail sentences. Practise accurate past-tense reporting and build shorter, complete sentences before adding more complex comparisons.
