Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You identify the main overall patterns: table tennis and musical performances rise, amateur dramatics declines, and film club remains the most popular activity. Several figures are also broadly accurate, such as table tennis starting at about 15 and reaching roughly 55, and musical performances beginning at zero. However, some details are unclear or inaccurate: table tennis rose from 20 to about 55 between 2010 and 2020, not in a single “dramatic” rise without specifying the period, and amateur dramatics fell to about 6 rather than 10. The overview’s phrase “being fluctuate two activities” does not clearly explain that film club and martial arts changed only modestly. More precise comparisons and clearer reporting of the trends would make the summary more complete.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, an overview and two detail paragraphs. Grouping the rising activities together and then discussing the more stable series is a sensible approach. However, progression is weakened by unclear links and abrupt phrasing, particularly “being fluctuate two activities” and “regarding next activities.” Some information is repeated, such as the film club’s popularity, while the final paragraph combines three series without clearly distinguishing their trends. Use topic sentences that state which activities are being compared, and connect each figure to its relevant time period. This would make the organisation easier to follow and reduce the impression of loosely joined observations.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant task vocabulary, including “participants,” “dramatic,” “gradually increased,” and “most popular,” and the reader can generally understand the intended trends. However, several word choices and collocations are inaccurate or awkward: “lost interest significantly downtrend,” “dramatic rose,” “saw gradually increased,” and “kept their number” do not express the data naturally. There are also spelling errors such as “flucations,” and some phrases are imprecise, including “started the process.” Aim for standard chart-reporting expressions such as “declined steadily,” “rose sharply,” “increased gradually,” and “remained stable.” More accurate collocations would improve clarity and give your vocabulary greater control.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt a mix of simple and more complex sentences, including time clauses such as “In the next 10 years…” and contrastive structures with “while.” However, errors in agreement, articles, verb forms and sentence construction are common enough to make several sentences difficult to read. For example, “The line graph illustrate” needs subject–verb agreement, while “the number of participant” requires a plural form and an article. The overview fragment “being fluctuate two activities” is not a complete grammatical sentence, and “it saw gradually increased” uses an incorrect verb pattern. Review sentence boundaries and build accurate clauses first; then practise combining them with time and contrast clauses. Punctuation and spacing around commas also need attention.
