Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You identify the five activities and give a relevant overview: film club remains the most popular, amateur dramatics declines, and the other series change over time. Several key trends are reported, including table tennis’s strong rise and musical performances’ growth from zero. However, some figures and comparisons are inaccurate: film club ends at about 66, not 70; martial arts starts near 36, not 38, and finishes around 36 rather than 33; amateur dramatics ends at about 6, not 10. The statement that table tennis and amateur dramatics have the same number in 2010 is also incorrect (about 20 versus 20, so this comparison is accurate, but clarify the activities). More precise reporting and a clearer overview of the major changes would make the account more complete.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure, moving from an introduction and overview to details, and the information is generally grouped by activity. Linking expressions such as “Overall,” “In contrary,” and “Furthermore” help signal relationships. However, the final paragraph contains several long, joined sequences, making the changes harder to follow; for example, the martial-arts figures are packed into one sentence. Some connections are also unclear, particularly “in the following years” and “in the next decade,” which do not specify the relevant dates. Use separate sentences for each series or period, and make comparisons explicit. This would improve progression and reduce the occasional mechanical or unclear cohesion.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You use enough topic vocabulary to describe the graph, including “participants,” “declined,” “increased,” “fluctuations,” and “gradually.” These choices communicate the main trends, but some wording is imprecise or unnatural, such as “serves on the top of the list,” “downward graph,” and “last in the graph.” There are also spelling errors, including “activties” and “intially,” and some repeated use of “people” and “numbers.” Choose conventional graph language such as “remained the most popular,” “showed a downward trend,” and “had the fewest participants.” More accurate collocations and a little more variety in trend vocabulary would make the description clearer and more natural.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, and the overall meaning is usually understandable. However, some errors in tense, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries remain. For example, “film club participants serves” has a subject–verb agreement problem, while “In 2000, film club has” shifts awkwardly into the present tense. The opening also needs an article in “at social centre,” and “Martial arts has ups and downs intially it has…” joins clauses without suitable punctuation. Use the past tense consistently for the historical data, check singular and plural subjects, and divide long sentences into correctly punctuated units. These changes would improve accuracy while retaining your attempts at complex structures.
