Overall, Film Club remained at the top thorugh out the tenure with minor fluctuations. However, activity like Amateur Dramatics is constantly declining after hitting its highest threshold. Where some activities has gained participants over the time.
Firstly, Film Club kept its legacy through out the timeframe keeping the particpant between 60 - 70 although they decreased in 2000 to 2010 but later on it increased and in 2020 its on its ever high point. Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You identify the main contrast between the consistently high film-club figures and the sharp decline in amateur dramatics, and you include relevant approximate values. However, the overview is incomplete: it does not mention table tennis becoming the second-largest activity by 2020 or the later growth in musical performances. Some details are also inaccurate. Amateur dramatics peaked at about 28 in 2005, not around 30 in 2010, and its decline began before 2010. The statement that film-club participation decreased “in 2000 to 2010” is imprecise, as it fell gradually from about 64 to 60. Covering the main trends more fully and checking dates and comparisons would make the summary more complete and accurate.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, an overview, and paragraphs describing rising and falling figures. The contrast signalled by “On the other hand” helps organise the final paragraph, while “Firstly” and “Furthermore” guide the reader through the earlier details. However, the progression is not always clear. The overview’s final sentence, “Where some activities has gained participants,” is a fragment and does not specify which activities. The last paragraph also repeats the idea of decline before giving the amateur-dramatics figures. Grouping the series more deliberately—for example, stable or fluctuating activities together, then the strongest rises and falls—would improve the flow and make connections between points clearer.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You use relevant chart vocabulary, including “participants,” “fluctuations,” “declining,” and “significant number,” so the reader can understand the broad trends. There is also some attempt to vary expression, such as “remained at the top” and “gained.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural for describing data: “activities performed by the participant” is awkward, “kept its legacy” is not suitable here, and “highest threshold” does not clearly mean a peak. Spelling errors such as “thorugh,” “particpant,” and “timeframe” (when written as two words in this context) also reduce control. Prefer precise, conventional chart language and check spelling to make the report clearer and more natural.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including contrast and time clauses, but control is inconsistent. Errors appear in basic sentence patterns as well as longer constructions: “between 2000 to 2020” uses the wrong preposition pattern, “some activities has gained” has subject–verb disagreement, and “Amateur Dramatics participants was 25” has an agreement error. The sentence beginning “Where some activities…” is incomplete, while “the number of participants are decreasing” combines a singular subject with a plural verb. Tense and phrasing are also unclear in “in 2020 its on its ever high point.” Use complete sentences, check agreement and articles, and keep past-tense reporting consistent; these changes would make your varied sentence attempts more reliable.
