Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the main contrast between the consistently high film-club figures and the strong rise in table tennis, and you also note the decline in amateur dramatics. However, several figures and trends are misreported, which limits the accuracy of the summary. Film club starts at about 64, not 62, and ends near 66 rather than 68; martial arts finishes around 36, not 48. Table tennis rises especially sharply after 2010, reaching about 54, while amateur dramatics falls to roughly 6. Most importantly, musical performances did not decline: they rose from zero in 2000 and 2005 to about 18 in 2020. Correcting these errors and making the overview more precise would strengthen coverage of the key features.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction and overview are followed by a paragraph comparing the activities, and linking expressions such as “Overall” and “On the other hand” help signal relationships. This gives the information a coherent overall arrangement. However, the second paragraph moves through all five series in a compressed sequence, so comparisons between related trends are not always developed clearly. The sentence beginning “Consequently musical performances…” also does not express a clear cause-and-effect relationship. Grouping the rising activities together and the declining or fluctuating ones together would improve progression. Check punctuation at sentence boundaries as well, particularly the full stop followed by a comma after “period.”

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use an adequate range of task-relevant vocabulary, including “remained relatively stable,” “substantial growth,” “fluctuations,” and “declined sharply.” These phrases help describe changes rather than simply list figures. There are, however, several spelling errors, including “partipicants,” “Austrrailia,” and “continous,” and some word choices are imprecise for graph reporting. “The activity level among participants of table tennis” is awkward, while “was not known for the first five years” does not accurately convey that there were no participants. Aim for concise, conventional collocations such as “the number of participants in table tennis” and “recorded no participants.” More accurate vocabulary will make the trends easier to understand.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 6.5

You use a mix of simple and more complex sentence forms, including a contrast clause in “despite some fluctuations” and a participial phrase in “climbing steadily.” Most of the message remains understandable, which shows reasonable control. Some grammatical and punctuation errors remain: “Musical performances is” has subject–verb disagreement, and “The participants for the film club remained the highest” is not a well-formed comparison. The opening also runs sentences together (“2020.Overall”), and the final section contains an incorrect comma after “period.” Use “the number of film-club participants was the highest” and check agreement, sentence boundaries, and punctuation during revision. These corrections would make the varied structures more consistently accurate.
