The graph illustrates the number of participants for different activities at one social center held in Melbourne the city of Australia for the period 2000 to 2020.

It is clearly seen that, there are five activities had held in the period 2000 to 2020. The flim club had the top number of participants from 2000 to 2020. Moreover, the other activaties are seen like some years they are increasing and some years they are decreasing.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify the five activities and give a useful overall point: the film club remains the most popular, while other activities change over time. You also report several broad trends accurately, including the decline in amateur dramatics and the strong rise in table tennis. However, some details are inaccurate or unclear: table tennis rose from about 16 participants in 2000 to 20 in 2005, rather than staying at 15 through 2005 and 2010; amateur dramatics ended at about 6, not 4; and the film-club figure in 2000 was about 64. The overview is also general, saying only that activities rise and fall, without highlighting table tennis’s major growth or amateur dramatics’ marked decline. Select and compare the most significant changes more precisely.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, a brief overview, and two paragraphs describing the activities. The sequencing words “Firstly” and “Secondly” help signal the move between groups, and the reader can generally follow the account. However, the progression is not consistently clear because the overview is vague and the body paragraphs list figures without a strong comparative thread. Some linking is mechanical, particularly the repeated “after that” and “in 2020” constructions. The sentence beginning “The next martial arts activity” also shifts abruptly from the film club, while “Similarly” does not clearly express a comparison. Organise the body around the main trends—for example, stable activities versus those with substantial change—and use linking phrases that show the relationship between them.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use relevant vocabulary for describing a line graph, including “participants,” “increased,” “declining,” and “reaches,” so the main trends are usually understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are inaccurate: “65 number of participants” is unnatural, “66 player” is unsuitable for a participant count, and “rose upward” is redundant. Spelling errors such as “flim,” “activaties,” “decling,” and “Similiary” are noticeable and reduce precision. The use of “29%” for a participant figure is also inappropriate because the chart reports numbers, not percentages. Build a more accurate set of trend expressions and check spelling and word forms before submitting.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and longer sentences, and the response is divided into paragraphs, but grammatical control is inconsistent. Errors occur in basic sentence patterns, such as “there are five activities had held,” and in verb forms, as in “it started to rose” and “the 11 participants we there.” Agreement and article use are also problematic in phrases such as “The last acticities is Musical performances.” Several sentences join multiple ideas with limited punctuation, making them harder to process. These errors sometimes interfere with clarity, although the reader can usually infer the intended trends. Practise accurate past-tense reporting and sentence patterns such as “The number rose from X to Y,” then check subject–verb agreement and punctuation in each sentence.
