Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You cover all five activities and provide a clear overview: the film club remains the most popular, table tennis rises, amateur dramatics declines, and musical performances begin at zero. Most trends are accurately identified, and the report includes relevant comparisons. However, several figures are substantially misreported: film-club participation ends at about 66, not 69; table tennis reaches about 54, not 66; and martial arts peaks at about 38, rather than 40. The statement that musical performances grew only after 2005 is also imprecise, as the increase begins by 2010. These inaccuracies and the limited development of some comparisons keep the account from being fully precise. Check plotted values carefully and distinguish approximate readings from the overall trends.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall arrangement: an introduction, an overview, and two detail paragraphs grouping the activities. This makes the main trends reasonably easy to follow, and phrases such as “In contrast” help signal a shift between groups. However, some connections are awkward or unclear. For example, “after reaching 29 contestants this figure plummeted reached 6” lacks a clear grammatical link between the stages, while “after decade” does not specify the period clearly. The overview also lists trends in a somewhat mechanical sequence. Use clearer time markers such as “by 2010” and “from 2010 onwards,” and connect each comparison explicitly to the relevant activity to make progression smoother.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some task-relevant vocabulary, including “fluctuated,” “significant increase,” “fell dramatically,” and “plummeted,” which helps describe changes rather than merely list figures. However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, including “mambers,” “famouse,” “experinced,” and “contastents.” Some expressions are also unnatural or imprecise, such as “reached on the beginning level” and “significantly surge.” These errors sometimes make the intended meaning less clear and limit the precision of the report. Build a reliable set of trend verbs and collocations, and check spelling carefully; use forms such as “rose significantly” and “returned to its initial level.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a contrastive construction beginning “In contrast” and a time clause with “whereas.” However, complex sentences are often not controlled successfully. For example, “whereas, this number decreased and reached on the beginning level” has faulty punctuation and sentence construction, and “after reaching 29 contestants this figure plummeted reached 6” is missing a necessary verb form or connector. There are also recurring problems with articles, prepositions, and tense patterns, as in “in the starting of year” and “between 2000 to 2020.” These issues can make relationships between events difficult to follow. Practise accurate comparative and time-clause structures, and proofread each sentence for a complete verb pattern.
