the given graph shows some inormation about different people who take a part in different activities in one community center in melbourne between 2000 to 2020.
By looking to the graph as we can see there is a minor decrease in number of participants of film club in 2010 however it rised again in 2020, while the martial arts participants in 2000 was 37 and gradually decrease to 32 in 2005 then the peak time of the participants was in 2010 which was 39 and in 2020 the value remain same as was in 2000. And the number of amatuer dramatics was 27 in 2000 and it increased to its maximum value was 29in 2005 after it drastically decreased to 5 in 2020. If we talk about table tennis the participants were 18 in 2000 and after 2010 suddenly increased to 53 in 2020 while the muical performance number was 0 in 2000 and it started in 2005 increased to almost 18 in 2020.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.5
You identify all five activities and report several relevant movements, including the decline in amateur dramatics and the strong rise in table tennis. However, the response does not provide a clear overview of the main features, and much of the account is a sequence of figures rather than a summary of the most important comparisons. Some details are inaccurate: musical performances began in 2010, not 2005, and table tennis had already risen to 36 by 2015 before reaching about 54 in 2020. The film-club trend is also only partly described. To strengthen the response, add an overview highlighting the film club’s consistently high participation, table tennis’s sharp growth, and amateur dramatics’ decline, then select accurate figures to support these trends.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5
The response follows a broadly chronological pattern and uses linking expressions such as “however,” “then,” and “after,” so the reader can identify some changes over time. Nevertheless, it is presented as one long paragraph, with no distinct overview or clear grouping of the activities. The repeated sequence of “and” clauses makes the progression feel list-like, while phrases such as “If we talk about table tennis” do not create a strong transition from the preceding information. Some connections are also unclear, particularly the statement that musical performances “started in 2005 increased” when the chart shows no participants until 2010. Organise the answer into an introduction, a concise overview, and grouped detail paragraphs, using transitions to show contrasts and trends.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use some relevant task vocabulary, including “participants,” “decreased,” “increased,” and “maximum value,” which helps communicate the general subject and direction of change. However, the range is limited and several expressions are imprecise or awkward, such as “peak time of the participants,” “the value remain same,” and “the musical performance number.” Spelling errors—including “inormation,” “amatuer,” and “muical”—also make the writing less polished. Aim for more precise chart language and accurate activity names: for example, use “participant numbers peaked” or “remained stable,” and refer to “musical performances” consistently. Vary trend verbs and comparison phrases rather than relying repeatedly on “increased” and “decreased.”
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt to connect several ideas in longer sentences using “while,” “however,” and “after,” but these complex sentences are often difficult to control. Errors include subject–verb agreement in “the martial arts participants … was 37,” tense and form in “it rised again,” and the incomplete construction “it increased to its maximum value was 29.” The sentence beginning “By looking to the graph as we can see” also has an awkward introductory structure, and punctuation is insufficient to separate the many clauses. These errors sometimes make relationships between figures unclear. Practise writing shorter, complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, then combine selected ideas using accurate contrast and time clauses. Check agreement, past-tense forms, and sentence boundaries during revision.
